Late 2006
The idea for Knowchem is conceived by Dr. Suresh Gore and Dr. Ashish Chaudhary, aiming to offer Process Development Services to local chemical industries.
February 28, 2007
Knowchem Laboratories is officially founded as a private limited company on the occasion of National Science Day.
2007
A synthesis laboratory is set up 25 km from Pune, equipped with statutory licenses and ready for operations.
2007-2009
Initial years marked by challenges in gaining traction locally, but international clients support early growth through outsourcing opportunities.
2010
The team grows to 8 professionals; first major breakthrough in domestic market with successful scale-up of complex pharmaceutical processes.
Following Years
Long-term collaborations are established; Knowchem becomes a trusted supplier for intricate synthesis projects.
Ongoing
Plant-scale demonstrations are offered to clients, including equipment suggestions and implementation guidance for developed processes.
2024
After 17 years of continuous growth, Knowchem becomes a 25-person strong team, with plans to double in size in the near future.

Dr. Suresh T. Gore
With a Ph.D. from St. Andrew University, UK, Dr. Gore brings an illustrious 48-year career spanning pharmaceutical, agrochemical, fine, and specialty chemical industries across both multinational and Indian sectors.
His 15 years of leadership at the President/CEO level have shaped groundbreaking advancements in the field.
Known for his extensive global network, he has forged strong collaborations with academic institutions, research organizations, and international companies, driving Knowchem’s commitment to scientific excellence and industry innovation.

Dr. Ashish M. Chaudhary
Dr. Chaudhary holds a Ph.D. (Tech.) from ICT (formerly UDCT, Mumbai) and boasts over 38 years of experience in the Indian pharmaceutical, agrochemical, fine, and specialty chemical industries.
His expertise spans R&D, technology development, business strategy, and outsourcing, making him a key force behind Knowchem’s success.
With a deep understanding of chemical innovation and process optimization, he has played a pivotal role in shaping Knowchem into a trusted partner for industries worldwide.
